Giving back to the Pewaukee community has been my reason to serve from the first time I walked in to a PSD board meeting. On that day I was just a parent looking for a way to get involved in my community. After a year of attending nearly every PSB Board of Education meeting I was confident that this organization needed me to represent my neighbors, friends, and all of the citizens of the Pewaukee School District. I was selected to fill a vacancy on the board in September of 2018 and the residents of Pewaukee elected me to a full term in April of 2019.
My commitment today is the same as it was then - help strengthen the community I call home through a great school district that serves all of the residents of Pewaukee with educational excellence, financial sustainability, and community spirit.

My Stand Against Divisive Action by the NSAB
THE PAST IS THE BEST PREDICTOR OF THE FUTURE
As a voter your best indication of how a member of the Pewaukee Schools Board of Education will represent you in the future is how they have performed in the past. While I am the first to admit to many mistakes in my past, I am proud of the positions I've taken in representing the Pewaukee community for the past 3 1/2 years.
I felt the need to speak out on October 25th in defense of the members of our community and their right to have their voices heard. The September 29th letter from the NSBA leadership to President Biden was an attempt to divide our nation and our communities. We are stronger together than we are apart. MY RE-ELECTION CAMPAIGN BEGINS

My work as your representative on the Pewaukee School District Board of Education is not done. I wish to continue my service to this great community for another term. If re-elected I will work to best represent the citizens of our community in maintaining and enhancing fiscally sustainable and socially responsible academic and support programs for all of the students of Pewaukee.

Here's where I'll post my thoughts on the role of a Board of Education member, my views as a candidate, and information about the election process
MY RECORD AS A BOARD MEMBER
Before March of 2021 there wasn't much public interest in PSD BoE activities at least if judged by attendance at our meetings.  In the year and a half when I was rigorously attending BoE meetings as just a community member the only others who showed up were parents of kids who were presenting something to the board. Â
That's all changed now and I'm grateful for it. We as a board are your elected representatives. We need to hear your voice. I'll be sharing my record with you, with video where I can, to give you a sense of how I've attempted to represent our community.
My first video is above. I am disappointed by the actions of the NSBA leadership late last year in what I view as an attempt to create a distraction from the valid concerns raised regarding curriculum and district practices. I'll post more in the weeks ahead.
REPRESENTING OUR ENTIRE COMMUNITY
I believe that school districts exist to serve the entire community. That's why I make it my mission to represent all of the constituents of Pewaukee as I act as a member of the PSD Board of Education. I think an effective school district is one that seeks to help prepare our youth to be positive contributors to our community.
In my work on the board I work to broaden the board's perspective to not only consider the concerns of students, parents, teachers, and staff but also of Pewaukee's employers and citizens. A healthy community needs a healthy school and a healthy school needs a healthy community. Long-term fiscally responsible and socially appropriate practices are essential to the health of both our school district and our community.Â
Over the past twenty years our community and our school district have thrived together - we see the success everyday when we look around Pewaukee. I will work to continue that trend.
